Presidents’ Day

Attention: There will be NO CLASSES today.

Today is Presidents’ Day –– a holiday in the United States celebrated on the third Monday of February to honor all who have served as president of the United States. It is always on or right before/after George Washington’s birthday, our first president.

Here are some things President Washington is remembered for:

  • Led the Continental Army to victory in the American Revolution
  • Ratified the Constitution
  • Created a national bank
  • Ratified the Bill of Rights
  • Signed Treaty of Amity Commerce and Navigation with Britain
  • Signed Pinckney’s Treaty with Spain
