What’s your favorite thing about summer in the city? If you said the ice cream truck, do we have a treat for you! Check out our blog for all the vocabulary for you to order your next #🍦! We paused our classes this morning to participate in the #JustPay Day without Service campaign. Our students made signs this morning and marched to City Hall for their voices to be heard. We stand with our human service workers and colleagues who deserve a livable working wage and 6.5% cost-of-living adjustment. We need #JustPay NOW to keep our programs open next year - 8.5 million New Yorkers depend on it! 📢📢📢 It was a full house this morning during our Job & Resource Fair! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all the amazing teachers out there, like Lynne! Thank you for your dedication, passion, and commitment to educating and inspiring your students. You make a difference every day! #TeacherAppreciationWeek #ThankATeacher We would like to invite you to our annual Job and Resource Fair. It will be held next Tuesday, May 16, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Be sure to register if you plan to attend https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XwXqnluXmCasOrgCoZBLMNqSb9y-wU_1AEnprDHfCCQ/viewform Our new partner, Chase Bank @chase visited us last Saturday to kick off their financial literacy workshop series for our students. The students learned how to budget for their short-term and long-term financial goals and drew up their own family budget sheet. The partner will come back to teach our daytime and evening students too. We hope that everybody will stay financially healthy! We conclude Immigrant Heritage Week #IHW2023 with a selection of writing from students in our daytime classes 1A and 1P. Check out our blog to read more about our students’ favorite books, music, movies, and more! www.USAdultLiteracy.com or click the link in our bio @usadultliteracy #ImmigrantHeritageWeek All that beauty that spring provides comes at a price! It’s allergy season. Do you get itchy eyes? Runny nose? Sneezing? Check out the new post on our blog about what to expect for during allergy season. Reposted from @nycimmigrants Today, we are kicking off #ImmigrantHeritageWeek with our campaign, We ❤️ Immigrant NYC. We celebrate the contributions of all of our immigrant communities and our status as the ultimate #CityOfImmigrants 🗽
