Idiom of the Week: Shoot the Breeze

Meaning: To make small talk; to chat.

Examples:

“What are you guys talking about?” “Nothing special. Just shooting the breeze.”

She wastes a lot of time at work. She spends the first hour of the day shooting the breeze with her coworkers.

Come over to my place this weekend. We can have a couple beers and shoot the breeze!
