The Literacy Review is an annual journal of writing from adult literacy programs throughout New York City. Edited by NYU Gallatin students, the book is distributed at a celebration that includes readings by the newly published writers. New Literacy Review!

The new Literacy Review is out, and the University Settlement Adult Literacy Program has two students in it – Grace Zhang and Watson (P’Man) Sriboonwong. Literacy Review Revisited

Literacy Review Volume 12

The Writing Program at NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study has just published the twelfth volume of The Literacy Review, which is a collection of excellent writing by adult education students in New York City. University Settlement’s own Tammie Tai has a story in it called “Bone Soup.” Here it is – you can click on the pages for a larger view:

New Literacy Review!

Every year, the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study publishes a collection of writing by adult students here in New York City called The Literacy Review. The Gallatin Writing Program Director, Professor June Foley, also teaches an advanced writing course here at University Settlement on Fridays.

This year’s collection, The Literacy Review Volume 11, features the writing of seven University Settlement Adult Literacy Program students, Lois Geng, Ally Li, Dilek Ustun Ozalp, Wei (Tammi) Tai, Susanna Yang, Lixin (Betty) Ye, and Qiao Zhuang (Grace) Zhang. Congratulations to all of them on their fine writing!
