Thank you to @thealliance_nyc for visiting our program this week and helping our students to enroll in NY State of Health and NYC Care Programs and access health care. NEW on our blog: May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. @aafenyc came back this week to teach self-defense to our E2, E3, E4, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2P & Culture Club students. Enjoy some pictures and video! Thank you to instructor @kitnyc11 👏👏 Workforce Readiness workshop series with #Workforce1 for our 3A, 3P, CCR-A, & CCR-P classes just kicked off this Monday with learning in person how to access Workforce 1 Career Center, and virtually how to conduct a job search the next day. On Wednesday, the students had fun learning how to protect themselves in self-defense workshops with our new partner, @aafenyc. We hope the workshops helped the students prepare to find a good job and to stay safe. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas and mama-like figures in our lives. We want to especially thank all the super moms out there, who are taking our classes and setting a wonderful example for their children! We see you and appreciate your dedication to your family and education. 💐🌹 May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Asian American Pacific Islander is commonly shortened to AAPI. This is a month to celebrate the history and contributions of AAPI people. Watch our Instagram stories this month as we highlight Asian joy and accomplishments. NEW on Our Blog: April Showers Bring May Flowers. Can you guess where this photo was taken? Eid Mubarak to all our friends and neighbors who celebrated Ramadan. We don't have any classes today because of the Eid holiday but we have conversation clubs in the evening (6:30-7:30pm) for all levels and this afternoon (2:30-4:30pm) for levels 3 & 4. Check your Google Classroom for the Zoom links. To those celebrating Eid, we wish you kindness, joy, and happiness.
