MLK Day: Remembering His Impact

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, we will not hold any classes today, Monday, January 17.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the American civil rights movement from 1955-68. He organized black and white people to fight together for the equality of African Americans, and lost his life for the cause. But because of his efforts, segregation has remained banned and discrimination unlawful in this country. Moreover, while completely changing the attitudes of all remains a work in progress, the opportunity has opened for any given person, regardless of race, to achieve success.
